Dear supporter –
It may be hard to believe, but we are just four weeks from the November 5th General Election. In fact, as soon as next Wednesday, mail ballots will be sent to those who have made a request to vote by mail. If you’d like to be on that list, I recommend going to www.ksvotes.org for a quick and easy way to request a mail ballot (along with several other useful features, such as registering to vote, updating your voter registration data, or checking the status of your mail ballot).
It takes just a minute or two to fill out the form! If you do request a mail ballot, I highly encourage returning it to an election drop box near you (drop box locations are here under “mail ballot drop box locations”). We had a large number of ballots arrive after the cut off for the August Primary Election due to post office delays. If your ballot doesn’t arrive by November 8th, it isn’t counted (regardless of the date of the postmark it carries).
I’m sure that everyone on this list is well aware about the choices we all have at the voting booth this year, as well as the various ways to vote on or before Election Day. However, my main reason for sharing this information with you is so that you have it at your fingertips to give to family and friends that may need a little extra encouragement. With so many elections in 2024, and so much at stake, it will take all of us working together to show up and be the change we want to see in Johnson County, in Kansas, and at the federal level of our government. Additional resources and information is always available through the Johnson County Election Office.
Thank you for your support! I could not be doing all of this without you,
