Good morning!
We are one week closer to Election Day and I continue to appreciate the outpouring of support for my campaign. This past week, with the help of great volunteers, we surpassed 4000 doors knocked and talked to hundreds of voters across Commission District 3 to learn their priorities for Johnson County.
When talking to voters, my number one question is: “When you think of Johnson County, what is important to you?” This has led to great conversations where I’ve learned a lot about what our residents want and expect from their County Commissioner. It’s also given me the opportunity to discuss my vision and priorities for the future of our community. This voter engagement is at the very core of our campaign: by engaging our community, we can create solutions to benefit everyone.
Many thanks to supporters and 3rd District neighbors, Judie and Jannie, for hosting a meet and greet. I enjoyed the opportunity to talk about county government and the role the 3rd District Commissioner can play in getting great things done for Johnson County. One theme that stood out from our conversation was wanting to see our community move forward with the plan to address homelessness. Additionally, as I’ve often seen at the door, folks want a better understanding of a Commissioner’s roles and responsibilities
We will continue this type of outreach to as many residents as possible all the way up to Election Day! And, if I’m fortunate enough to be your next County Commissioner, I will be the responsive and collaborative representative that so many have said they want and need.
