Dear supporter –
It’s been nearly two years since you elected me as Chair of the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners. In that time, I’ve been proud of what we’ve accomplished: We’ve been a partner for the business community through large-scale economic development initiatives, moved the county toward greater sustainability and energy efficiency, and saved taxpayers millions of dollars by leveraging the historic opportunities to work alongside state and federal partners in projects for wastewater and transportation infrastructure. Yet, the work is still unfinished.
I’ve also seen what happens when an elected official chooses to spend more time playing politics than working together to find solutions. With only seven commissioners on our Board, even just one ineffective member can mean we spend far too much time on infighting than on delivering for our residents.
I have known Julie Brewer for years through her work with United Community Services. In electing Julie, District 3 will be elevating not only a policy expert across various fields, but also someone who is collaborative and knows how to get things done. She is the commissioner Johnson County needs in these divisive times.
I hope you will join me in supporting Julie and help her finish these final days of her campaign strong. I’ll be alongside Julie tomorrow evening at the Museum at Prairiefire for the final public event of her campaign. You can RSVP by clicking here or on the image below.
Thank you for all you do for Johnson County,
