Dear supporter –
On Tuesday, I shared some information about requesting a mail ballot before the first round of applications are sent next Wednesday. If you need assistance with that process, please feel free to respond to this email and I’ll be happy to help you.
We are approaching a number of key election dates that I also want to make you aware of. The biggest one is the deadline to register to vote, which is next Tuesday, October 15th. If you know of anyone that recently turned 18 or moved to our district, please take a moment to make sure they are registered to vote in Kansas! You can direct them to www.ksvotes.org to take care of registration, party affiliation, change of address, and mail ballot in just a matter of minutes.
Johnson County also offers a number of early voting locations, with more opening as we approach Election Day. If you like to vote early and want to avoid potential lines on November 5th, you can do so as soon as Saturday, October 19th at the following locations (you can click the image to for more information):
More voting sites will open on October 26th. You can find that information here.
Finally, if you need a vote by mail ballot, don’t wait, request now! The deadline to submit your application is Tuesday, October 29th. But with the unpredictability of the post office, I strongly recommend against waiting that long!
On the campaign front, I continue to spend most of my time out in the district talking to our neighbors. One highlight worth sharing was with the homeowner of the famous donkey on 143rd street! After a great conversation, I was invited to grab a picture with it!
I hope you all have a great end to your week. Thank you for all of the support,
