Dear supporter –
My heartfelt thanks to the voters of District 3 who showed up for our community in Tuesday night’s election. Your support is what fueled me throughout the campaign. I felt it at the doors, on the phones, and in the hundreds of messages of encouragement and support I received over the past ten months.
I am honored to be your next county commissioner.
I want to recognize the public service of Commissioner O’Hara. She represented her values fiercely and that is to be respected in our democracy. She called Tuesday night to congratulate me, something I also appreciate.
I also want to thank the dozens of volunteers and hundreds of financial supporters of this campaign. Campaigns are a team effort.
And I want to thank Robbie Wegley. Robbie’s tireless efforts to help us knock doors, make phone calls and text voters helped me focus on what mattered most – connecting with my neighbors to learn how to best represent this district.
Finally, I want to thank my husband, Steve, and our daughters. Steve and I have spent more than thirty years loving and supporting one another this campaign was another chapter in our adventure. Thank you!
Now, after a short rest, the hard work will begin. The priority will be to come back together as a community and find a path forward. Johnson County faces many challenges in the coming years. Voters in Kansas and across the country are feeling anxiety and uncertainty. As your next county commissioner, I will work with my colleagues to continue making Johnson County one of the safest, most prosperous, and dynamic places to live in America.
Thank you for showing up for change. Thank you for your trust in me. And thank you for the opportunity to serve,
