Dear Supporters,
How We Show Up Matters has been the theme of my campaign. I am thankful for all the supporters who showed up last night for my General Election Rally. I am humbled by the kind words of Mike Kelly, Chair of the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners, and Ed Eilert, former longtime Overland Park Mayor and prior Chair of the Johnson County BOCC. Mike and Ed represent the broad coalition of support we have built for positive change in District 3. From across sectors to across political aisles, I’ve spent my career working with anyone and everyone who values building strong communities. I am grateful that so many of the folks I have worked with over the years have come out in support of my candidacy.
Campaigning for office is a great reminder that this is not a “me” effort, this is a “we” effort. No one runs alone and no one governs alone. Voters at the door and on the phone have made it clear, they want someone who will listen, collaborate, and lead with facts and not fear mongering. I am excited to bring my more than 30 years of experience on issues residents care about into service as our next Commissioner for District 3.
You are my community and I still need your help as we go into the last weeks of the campaign. Tell folks about me, share my social media, help make calls, knock doors. We have 82,000 registered voters in District 3. We’ve been reaching out to thousands of doors and will continue to do so up until election day.
Thank you,
